Banana Gelato with Chocolate Flakes

Today I had a reason to celebrate... and I did it with my homemade banana gelato.

I'm so glad that a friend brought me the chocolate from Germany. The little flakes are that certain indefinable something in the gelato.

The reason was... I finally got the 3-digit likes on my facebook page. :)

Thanks to the "fans" of Vanilla-Hills Soulfood.

little chocolates with marzipan

This is my first try to make some little chocolates (pralines).

They have a "heart" of marzipan and are covered with semi-sweet chocolate.

Chocolate-Pear Muffins with caramalized Walnuts

I found this recipe in another food-blog and the pictures made me, to bake them.

It's a little bit time-consuming to prepare the muffins - but in the end, it's worth it. The pears and the melted chocolate make them so sappy and the walnuts give them crispy bits.

This is definitely a keeper.

Nut-Choo's

The word "choo" is Kreol and means "to chew"... and this is what you have to do with this pastry.

I put in 400 gram of nuts. It's a mixture of pecan nuts, walnuts and almonds. Instead of apricot jam I made them with papaya-mango-jam.

The combination of the tartish fruits with the nuts and the bittersweet chocolate is delicious.

Thanks for being interested in my blog - the kitchen fairy.
